JSE-listed diversified miner Bauba Resources has made changes to its board, including appointing BerrangeĢ Nelson as FD and executive director.
Nelson has held various financial roles in mining operations since 2011, starting with Impala Platinum Goldings before progressing to ERG Africa and Gold One International.
Accordingly, the function of Jonathan Knowlden has changed from that of FD and acting CEO to CEO of Bauba, effective May 9.
The company also appointed Gary Baumgarten as alternate nonexecutive director to Thomas Baring.
Baumgarten is a seasoned corporate finance practitioner with more than 22 years of experience in the metals and mining industry, across a broad spectrum of businesses and multiple geographic regions.
Johan Terence Jordaan, who has been appointed as a nonexecutive director, brings to the board 24 years of experience in the mining sector as a well-rounded mining engineer, having held senior management positions in mining operations, processing plants, mine planning, mine design, project planning and execution, feasibilities studies, mining technology and technical roles.
Johan le Roux is no longer a nonexecutive director as he has been appointed as an alternate director to Jordaan.
