PERTH (miningweekly.com) – ASX-listed Australian Rare Earths has reported a 40% increase in its Koppamurra project area, with the grant of a new exploration licence in South Australia.
The new exploration licence brings the total granted tenure of the Koppamurra project to 2 136 km2 spanning South Australia and Victoria.
Australian Rare Earths told shareholders on Tuesday that exploration within the newly granted tenure would start quickly and “cheaply’, with road verge drilling conducted along the network of public roads and tracks within the area.
Meanwhile, a further 1 911 km2 of contiguous Koppamurra project area is also under application in South Australia, which is considered to be prospective for clay hosted rare earth mineralisation.
