JOHANNESBURG (miningweekly.com) – Mining services company Ausdrill said on Tuesday it had secured two contract extensions at African operations and one in Western Australia.

The ASX-listed firm reported that South Africa-based AngloGold Ashanti had awarded its wholly owned subsidiary African Mining Services (AMS), a provision letter of award for a further two-year contract extension at the Iduapriem gold mine, in Ghana. AMS has been providing a suite of mining services at the mine since 2014.

The contract extension, which is subject to finalisation and agreement on applicable documentation, would be valued at about $108-million and would be serviced with existing fleet.

At Resolute Mining’s Syama mine, in Mali, AMS has been awarded an extension until May 2018. The company provides drilling, blasting and load and haul operations at Syama.

In Western Australia, Evolution Mining extended Ausdrill’s production drilling works contract at the Mungari project for another three years.
