The current situation has testing, inspection and certification multinational Bureau Veritas Africa senior VP Marc Roussel pondering the steps mine operators should take to protect communities and ecosystems to ensure the ‘future of mining’.
Roussel will participate at this year’s Investing in African Mining Indaba by sharing insights on sustainable mining in a panel discussion titled ‘Fragile Mining Jurisdiction: How are current world events, the energy crisis, and the need for decarbonisation affecting the most vulnerable communities?’
