Labour union the Association of Mineworkers and Construction Union (AMCU) reports that a mineworker died in an accident at Impala Platinum's (Implats') Impala mine, in Rustenburg, on August 4.
AMCU says this brings the current fatalities in the mining sector for the year to date to 34.
