Australian underground hard-rock mining contractor PYBAR Mining Services has concluded a three-year agreement with LSE-listed drilling services company Capital Drilling for the co-marketing of underground hard-rock mining services in Africa.

Capital Drilling is headquartered in Mauritius and provides exploration, development, grade-control and blast-hole drilling services for a number of mineral exploration and mining companies. It has been providing drilling services for mining operations in Africa since 2014.

The partnership will enable PYBAR to bene- fit from Capital Drilling’s expertise and relationships in Africa. In turn, Capital Drilling will benefit from PYBAR’s competence in the provision of underground hard-rock mining services.

“Our focus remains on Australia; however, with a large number of projects seeking to move underground in Africa, there is an opportunity to transfer our capabilities and best practice safety systems to a market that can benefit greatly from our expertise,” says PYBAR CEO Paul Rouse.
