Independent mining, geological, technology and management consulting company CSA Global will, over the next few months, start integrating the newly acquired Toronto-based independent mining industry consulting firms ACA Howe International into its operations.

This follows the conclusion of the buy-out, which was for an undisclosed amount.

“The acquisition was pursued to provide greater capacity and depth of services to the combined group’s clients in the Americas. The move is aligned with the company strategy to broaden its service offerings in key mining markets by providing access to personnel with local knowledge and expertise and to leverage this with the collective experience and capabilities of CSA Global’s international network,” said CSA Global MD Jeff Elliott.

As part of the transition process, CSA Global director of global operations Daniel Wholley will transfer to Toronto to focus on leveraging the companies’ combined capabilities and networks and to oversee client and business development activities across the Americas.

The deal provided “great” opportunity for expansion in the Americas and beyond, Elliot added.

“The integration of ACA Howe and CSA Global makes good business sense. Both companies share strong pedigrees and have very similar values, although we have different regional strengths. By pooling our assets and experience, we create synergistic benefits and further differentiate ourselves from our competitors,” explained ACA Howe president and director Felix Lee.
