Wesizwe appoints new CEO as Gao steps down

JOHANNESBURG (miningweekly.com) – Jianke Gao has resigned as CEO and executive director of JSE-listed Wesizwe Platinum, effective February 14.

He will officially leave the company within two months.

Zhimin Li has been appointed to succeed Gao with effect from February 15.

Li holds a bachelor's degree in mining engineering from Kunming University of Science and Technology in China. He has over 30 years' experience in mining and civil engineering construction, obtained through working in China for the Jinchuan Group, and in Africa.
