Gauteng-based Transmission Components manufactures and distributes quality-assured power transmission products to the industrial and mining sectors.

The company was established in 1977 as a subdivision of a large conveyor pulley manufacturing company and broke away to become the largest locking element and rigid flange manufacturer in Africa, supplying well-known companies in the conveyor, mining and industrial gearbox industries.

Focusing on quality and reliability, Transmission Components also represents well-reputed power transmission companies from Europe, such as Ringspann, C.M.D, H.B.E and Colment Cuvelier.

The locking elements and couplings manufacturer boasts a yearly turnover of R46-million and has an order book of about R6-million.

Transmission Components is located at 96 Plane road, Spartan, on Gauteng’s East Rand. About 1 800 m2 of the manufacturing company’s premises of 3 500 m2 are under cover. Mayllen owns the land.

Transmission Components has ISO 9002 certification.
