Silver Lake reports fatality at Daisy

Operations have been suspended at the Daisy complex, in Western Australia, after a contractor died in an underground incident, miner Silver Lake Resources reported on Thursday.

The company said that an investigation into the circumstances of the Macmahon employee's death was under way and that the Western Australian Department of Mines, Industry Regulation and Safety had been notified.

Silver Lake MD Luke Tonkin and Macmahon CEO Mick Finnegan, on behalf of their respective companies, extended sympathy to the deceased’s family, friends and colleagues.
