None of the initiatives aimed at unseating President Jacob Zuma have, to date, been sufficient to light the fuse to end his Presidential term. The recent surprise motion of no confidence brought before the African National Congress’s National Executive Committee arguably came the closest. There are also several unlit matches in the anti-Zuma box. The question now is whether any of these will be sufficient to trigger an explosion before 2019.
