Name: Segovia Operations.

Location: The mine is located in the Segovia-Remedios mining district of Antioquia 180 km north-east of Medellin, in Colombia.

Mine Owner/s: Gran Colombia Gold (GCM).

Brief Description: The Segovia Operations include the El Silencio, Providencia and Sandra K underground mines in the municipality of Segovia, and the Carla underground mine in the municipality of Remedios, located about 10 km south-east of the Segovia mines. Mining operations incorporate company-operated areas and an artisanal miner model which contracts local third-party miners to work in Gran Colombia’s concessions and to deliver the ore to Gran Colombia’s mill for processing

Brief History: Gran Colombia Gold Corp through its subsidiary Zandor, signed an agreement on March 29, 2010, to acquire the mining and other assets of Frontino Gold Mines.

Primary Metals/Minerals: Gold.

Secondary Metals/Minerals: None stated.

Geology/Mineralisation: The mines at the Segovia Operations are hosted entirely by granodiorite/granitoid rocks of the Segovia batholith that has been recorded as being of late Jurassic age, but some dating of rocks in the region suggest it may be much younger and mid- to late-Cretaceous in age. The granodiorite is coarse grained (about 5 mm), equigranular and fairly dark coloured with white plagioclase, quartz and dark green hornblende

Gold mineralisation is hosted by a series of quartz‐sulphide veins. The main sulphides present are pyrite, chalcopyrite, sphalerite, and galena with higher grades seemingly related to high proportions of the latter two.

Reserves: Total proven and probable reserves as at December 32, 2019, were estimated at two-million tonnes grading 10.5 g/t gold.

Resources: Total measured and indicated resources as at December 31, 2019, were estimated at 3.6-million tonnes grading 11.7 g/t gold. Inferred resources were estimated at 4.1-million at a grade of 9.6 g/t gold.

Mining Method: Underground.

Major Infrastructure and Equipment: GCM ore is processed through the 1 500 t/d Maria Dama process plant using a process flowsheet that includes crushing, grinding, gravity concentration, gold flotation, cyanidation of the flotation concentrate, Merrill-Crowe zinc precipitation and refining of the zinc precipitate and gravity concentrate to produce a final gold/silver doré product.

Prospects: Since taking control of the Segovia Operations in 2010, Gran Colombia has initiated an extensive exploration and drilling programme around the existing mines to identify new resources to expand production and has started exploration in new areas of its concessions to identify potential new production areas. Simultaneously, the company is in the middle of an extensive modernisation programme at the historical mines to introduce mechanisation, to improve production efficiency and safety, and to reduce its all-in sustaining costs.
