Tell us about your company’s products & services?
We are a premier manufacturer and supplier of a range of Positive Displacement slurry pumps, Multistage Clearwater pumps, and pneumatic rock drills

What are its applications?

  • Slurry pumps: High pressure slurry pumping applications, such as mine dewatering, backfill, grout pumping, long distance transfer, etc
  • Clearwater pumps: High pressure Clearwater pumping applications, such as mine dewatering, water and power utilities, long distance transfer, etc
  • Pneumatic rock drills: Accurate, efficient, easy-to-use, low-exertion hard rock drilling, such as face advance, ring drilling, forward cover drilling, side wall drilling, etc

What makes the product unique?
The unique product is the Shova face advance drill rig. We have a global patent on our revolutionary concept of a drill (jackhammer) inside a sealed tube. Air pressure is used from a single source to power the drill, as well as provide the thrust on the drill. True in-line thrust is thus achieved, making drilling faster and materially more accurate and consistent, enhancing ore grades. Difficult collaring is a thing of the past. Sound is significantly dampened, and fogging is eliminated.

The physical exertion level for the RDO is drastically reduced, in collaring, drilling, and moving the rig around. The drill advances towards the rock face, not the operator, so the RDO remains under supported ground at all times. The rig stops advancing at a pre-set point, ensuring consistent drill-hole depths and even rock faces after blasting, ensuring a better advance distance per blast. The exhaust gases are used to retract the drill, reducing compressed air use and the level of skill required by the RDO.

By semi-mechanising drilling, the Shova makes drilling materially easier, more efficient and safer, whilst improving productivity and ore grades.
