2. a. Application for Freedom Car is a haulage vehicle for underground mining applications.

b. Continuous Miner Cutter Drum - Rebuild & Repair Procedure use in underground mining.

c. Battery Rebuild & Repair of Batteries that are used on various underground equipment.


3. The Freedom Car's outstanding features increase payload capacity compared to other competitive models. It also has the latest electronic control systems including Alternating Current (AC) Variable Frequency Drive (VFD) on the traction system.


4. The product was developed initially in the United States and is also used in South Africa and in China.

 

5. Major percentage of the Freedom Car was manufactured locally at the Middelburg facility in South Africa specifically for the South African market. Some of the components are imported from other countries.

 

6. Phillips Machine has over 200 Freedom Cars operating worldwide. In South Africa the Cable Freedom Car has been successfully employed at GB Coal, Anglo & Slater Coal.

 

7. Yes it is exportable depending on Ocean going freight rates and the infra structure cost in the country of destination.

 

8. Phillips Machine Service was founded in the United States of America in 1975. Currently has 2 major facilities in the United States, 1 in South Africa and 1 in China. The Company is resourcefully involved in product innovation for the extraction of material in underground mining. Phillips is consistently providing products that improve productivity, including improvements to Continuous Miner Cutter Drums and rubber tyred Coal Mining Vehicles.

 

9. Phillips Machine South Africa has been in existence since 2001. We recently moved into new facility in Middelburg, South Africa, It is our intention to continue to grow Phillips Machine South Africa and expand our workforce and facilty.
