Partnership promotes pipeline tech
Pressurised pipeline isolation, hot tapping and plugging services provider STATS Group has signed an exclusive partnership with oil and gas diversified product supplier Safari Oil & Gas in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.
Safari Oil & Gas has strong links to the Kingdom’s main hydrocarbon producers and, in a press release, STATS noted that the partnership will promote its patented range of pipeline isolation and intervention technologies.
The agreement follows a successful isolation work conducted on behalf of Saudi Aramco.
STATS will supply equipment, services and personnel from its base in Abu Dhabi with a longer term strategy of opening a permanent base in Saudi Arabia.
“Forming this strategic partnership with Safari Oil & Gas underlines our commitment to growing our business in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.
“Safari Oil & Gas is well respected, with many years of experience, and an excellent track record in pipeline maintenance and repair, and represents an ideal synergy with STATS and the technologies and services we offer the market,” STATS Middle East and Asia Pacific regional director Angus Bowie stated.
He added that the partnership combines a wealth of experience in pipeline intervention, engineered corrosion solutions and other pipeline-related expertise.
Safari Oil & Gas CEO Mohammed Al-Ghosain, commenting on the partnership, noted, “partnering with STATS is a major step towards growing the company strategically”. He added that the partnership and the subsequent introduction of “superior technology” would add value to the Kingdom and the oil and gas industry, while creating jobs in line with Saudi Vision 2030.
He adds that the partnership will be hugely beneficial to both companies through further collaboration.
