Mobile crushing and screening equipment provider Powerscreen, in conjunction with its local distributor ELB Equipment, launched new mining equipment at its exclusive open day in Johannesburg, South Africa, this month.

The open day was the official African launch of the Powerscreen Warrior 600 screen and the Powerscreen Trakpactor 260 impact crusher. A range of Powerscreen machines was also showcased.

The Powerscreen Warrior 600 is the most recent addition to the Warrior mobile screening product range. ELB Equipment notes that the machine is its most compact, heavy-duty mobile screen, which can be transported in a shipping container.

“The Warrior 600 screen is also highly versatile, with its ground- breaking simple conversion from 3-Way Split mode to 2-Way Split mode, which can be completed in minutes,” the company says.

The Warrior 600 further features a highly aggressive 8" × 4" screenbox capable of 6 g of acceleration. The company emphasises that, “the Warrior 600 has been specifically designed for operators for whom versatility, manoeuvrability and transportation are of key importance”.

Meanwhile, the Powerscreen Trakpactor 260 horizontal shaft impactor is a highly compact tracked crusher, designed to offer both substantial reduction and high consistency of product yield – up to 250 t/h. While the machine is designed mainly for the recycling and demolition markets, it is also a suitable contractor machine, owing to its compact design and mobility, the company states.
