Global diversified manufacturing company Terex Minerals Processing Systems (MPS) launched the new MJ47 primary jaw crusher module last month, increasing the application capabilities and crushing capacity of its existing modular product range with its largest jaw module to date.

The Terex MJ47 jaw crusher module is designed for large quarries or contractors that want a stationary-type design without the complexity of a normal stick-built plant.

The MJ47 module features the robust, 914 mm × 1 219 mm Terex Jaques ST47 jaw crusher.

Other key features include the Terex Simplicity 1.3 m × 7.3 m heavy-duty double-deck vibrating grizzly feeder, a large-capacity truck dump hopper, a discharge conveyor, an extra-heavy-duty galvanised/painted I-beam frame, a wrap-around maintenance access platform, stairs and guard rails.

The modular product line consists of several predesigned static and semistatic crushing and screening “plug-and-play” modules. Setup time and ease of operation are aided by the simplicity of the modular product range. Modules are designed to fit and work together interchangeably. All Terex MPS modules bolt together on site and require minimal on-site wiring.

AggreSand
Materials and minerals washing systems provider Terex Washing Systems (TWS) is celebrating the first birthday of the Terex AggreSand 165 washplant, following the official launch in Ireland in September 2013. A lot has been achieved in the last year, with the successful installation of the AggreSand 165 washplant in over ten countries on five continents, processing up to ten-million tons.

TWS application team lead Garry Stewart comments: “The market has really embraced the AggreSand washplant concept with exceptional demand at the moment. To date, TWS has installed multiple AggreSand 165 washplants around the globe. We are constantly looking at innovative ways to further enhance and develop our existing products so we can continue to meet the individual needs of our customers.”

TWS hosted a number of events in 2013 to officially launch the AggreSand 165 in both Ireland and the US. The AggreSand 165 was also displayed as part of a double bill at this year’s Hillhead mineral products, construction and recycling expo, which was held in the UK from July 24 to 26.

The most recent event to showcase the AggreSand 165 was the first of several planned open days in 2014 for the Australia market. The event was hosted in July by Australia-based sand and gravel supplier Dubbo Sands, which recently installed the washplant. Dubbo Sands owners Mardi Colbran and Graham Colbran say: “The professionalism and dedication from TWS and TWS Australian distributor Mineral Washing Systems, starting with purchasing, right through to commissioning, has been outstanding; we feel that there is nothing else currently on the market that even comes close.

“We chose the AggreSand 165 washplant for ease of setup, [which limited] disruption to our site. Our AggreSand 165 washplant incorporates the prewash system, which enables us to bring our sand into specifications in just one pass, while producing three aggregates, giving us a very cost-effective operation. The quality of design and construction of this plant is [quite apparent]; a lot of thought has gone into access for servicing pumps, screens and controls, including remote operation from the loader, all of which are user-friendly. This plant demonstrates that washing sand should be easy. We are positive ours will be the first of many hitting Australian shores.”

The introduction of the AggreSand 165 concept was a response to both changes in the marketplace and customer demands. It consists of the AggreSand 165 washplant, which processes up to 250 t/h, and the larger-capacity AggreSand 206 washplant, processing up to 400 t/h.

Central to the development of the AggreSand concept was modular design, serviceability and functionality, making it quick and easy to set up and easy to maintain. Customers also benefit from the unique design, which includes full containerisation of the machine for ease of transportation, rapid setup time, prewired and preplumbed ‘plug-and-play’ components, isolated spray bars and a simple automated control system, all of which have been delivering efficient, productive performance for the current owners.

The ongoing TWS commitment to meeting customers’ needs saw the introduction of another new pioneering product in 2014, the impressive AggreScrub 150, designed to operate both as a standalone unit as well as having the ability to seamlessly integrate with the AggreSand.

The AggreScrub 150 is designed to deal with stubborn clay-bound material, which cannot be removed by rinsing or screening alone. The AggreScrub product has been shortlisted as a finalist in the World Demolition Awards 2014 in the category that recognises innovation in a series product. Winners will be announced at an awards ceremony in November. The Terex Aggwash plant was the winner of this particular category in 2010.

Since TWS was established in July 2012, the company has gone from strength to strength and is now firmly established as one of the leading materials and minerals washing solution providers in the global marketplace. TWS has expanded the team globally to provide a full and dedicated line of support for the TWS distributor network and customers.

P

roduct line director Sean Loughran concludes: “We are delighted to continually welcome new talented and skilled team members to the TWS team. The experience they bring will ensure TWS offers the same quality support and services locally as well as in our other centres of excellence in the US and India. “TWS is committed to providing first-class service, expertise and knowledge in the field of minerals and materials washing from initial concept of plant ideas through to after-sales service and support.”
