PERTH (miningweekly.com) – ASX-listed Macmahon Holdings has been selected as the preferred tenderer for equipment hire and maintenance services at the Foxleigh coal mine, in Queensland, from March of next year.

The work is expected to generate some A$250-million in revenue and would require Macmahon to spend some A$50-million in capital, with the majority of this expenditure going towards the acquisition of 220 t dump trucks.

The proposed scope of the work will involve the hire and maintenance of 21 large capacity dump trucks and other ancillary equipment over a five-year term, along with the maintenance of client QMetco’s own equipment.
