BEKA Schréder has supplied the LED lighting solution for the Shell service station located on the busy Bottelary Road just off the R300 in Brackenfell, Cape Town.

Shell Brackengate @R300 is a newly built service station with a Spar convenience store, liquor store & Vida Shop available on site. It was important for the customer to create an environment where people feel safe to stop at night. BEKA Schréder’s South-African designed and manufactured LED lighting offered the perfect solution.

The energy-efficient LEDTEC R recessed lowbay is providing the under-canopy lighting. The LEDTEC is optimized to deliver the best overall performance for lowbay applications. It outperforms all other LED lowbay luminaires thanks to the substantial energy savings it generates and the performance it delivers over time.

ZELA post top luminaires installed on glass-fibre reinforced polyester (GRP) poles provide general area lighting. The ZELA provides a cost-effective indirect lighting solution for the

creation of ambiance. This modern luminaire is characterised by its distinct flat and conical diffuser, made possible by incorporating LED technology. This compactness is coupled with a careful design that harmoniously integrates both functionality and finish.

The BEKAPOLE is non-corrosive, maintenance-free, light weight, vandal-resistant and sustainable. Over time, it will outlast wood, concrete, steel and aluminium under similar climatic conditions. It is preferred by architects, developers and local authorities for its aesthetic appearance, strength, ease of installation and inherent safety for road users.

The QVAL has been installed around the buildings and in the courtyard of the Vida shop. The QVAL is a decorative, high-performance and reliable LED bulkhead which outperforms all conventional wall mounted bulkhead luminaires by providing a bright and long-lasting light for outdoor wall mounted applications. The QVAL delivers a strong white light with a high colour rendering index to ensure perfect visibility and comfort at all times. The indirect reflector design has been specifically developed to not only provide glare-free lighting, but also a high-performing light distribution. Thanks to the QVAL's high optical performance and strong mechanical design, it can achieve substantial energy and maintenance cost savings.

BEKA Schréder locally develops and manufactures energy-efficient LED lighting products, designed and suitable for local conditions.

We are very proud to be associated with Triangle Development, DKC Consulting Engineers and Dorman Projects in providing a successful energy-efficient lighting solution for this project.
