The Sentinel copper mine, in Zambia, is set to receive “the world’s largest wheel loader” – the P&H L-2350 – according to Komatsu Mining Corporation, previously Joy Global.

T

he Komatsu P&H L-2350 owes its efficiency to a robust structural design and modular components, with the efficient fuel consumption made possible by the power regeneration capacity of Joy SR hybrid drive technology.

The wheel loader is also equipped with safety features that meet global requirements.

Sentinel mine GM Morris Rowe says the P&H L-2350 is the only wheel loader capable of loading the mine’s ultraclass haul trucks.

The wheel loader is set to be commissioned at the mine by December.
