Implats acquires a further 1.36m RBPlat shares
Platinum group metals (PGMs) miner Impala Platinum (Implats) has concluded agreements to acquire a further 1.36-million shares in fellow PGMs miner Royal Bafokeng Platinum (RBPlat).
This will increase Implats' stake in RBPlat to 38.86%.
Implats is seeking to buy out all shares in RBPlat it does not already own.
The Competition Tribunal is considering the transaction, which is being opposed by PGMs miner Northam Platinum.
