Electra Mining to showcase latest equipment, products & technologies

Visitors to this year’s Electra Mining Africa exhibition will see latest cutting-edge machinery, products, technologies and services from hundreds of companies in the mining, electrical, automation, manufacturing, power and transport sectors. Many live demonstrations will be taking place and visitors will get to see brand new equipment, products and technologies in action.

TOMRA Mining will showcase its sensor-based sorting solutions at Electra Mining Africa. For the first time, it will conduct live demonstrations of its ground-breaking COM XRT 300 /FR final recovery sorter to illustrate its unique advantages for diamond operations.

The innovative technology behind the Jungheinrich ERCa, automated guided forklift vehicle will be demonstrated at Electra Mining Africa. The ERC 215a Automated Guided Vehicle System with lithium-ion technology ensures that the material flow never stops.

The theme of Sandvik Mining & Rock Solutions’ stand will be the’ Future of Mining’ and will highlight the many ways in which Sandvik can assist customers to move into the world of the fourth Industrial Revolution (4IR). The company’s major presence with its 385 m² indoor stand will also see the introduction of a ground-breaking battery electric vehicle (BEV) to the African mining market.

With its in-house experts on hand to brief visitors to the stand on the company’s comprehensive line-up of minerals processing equipment, Multotec will have a strong presence at this year’s event. The overall theme will be how Multotec’s equipment and systems can assist in realising Environmental, Social and Governance (ESG) goals

RS Components is a global omni-channel provider of over 700 000 products across 2500 global brands, some of which will be exhibiting on the RS Components stand at the show. Many products and solutions will be on display and their 3D printer and other gadgets will be seen in action. Visitors will also meet their RS PRO-BOT.

Technology systems integrator and operational technology contractor, Ramjack Technology Solutions (RAMJACK), will be exhibiting at the show alongside nearly a dozen of its technology partners. Through a series of presentations and hands-on-technology demos, they will unveil strategies and processes that guarantee value from not only the latest innovations, but also existing technology systems, with proven results.

Fabchem Mining, a leading supplier and manufacturer of strata control products and drilling consumables, will launch its latest innovation, the Yielding Anchor. Designed with the deep gold mines in mind, the 38-ton yielding tendon is used underground to support areas prone to seismic activities.

The status quo of industrial maintenance cleaning has been changed by introducing dry ice blast cleaning. It’s a non-abrasive, non-toxic, and innovative time saving cleaning method introduced by Dry Ice Blasting Services and will be on display at their stand. It offers a modernised cleaning method that reduces downtime and increases production output.

Mixtec, one of the world’s premier manufacturers of industrial mixers and agitators, will be showcasing its advanced impeller technology as well as other offerings at the show. Its very own high-level mixer designs, agitator and unique impeller technology, the EDICT System, is an exclusive Mixtec offering that operates at optimal speed with significantly reduced installed power requirements. Exciting, live demonstrations will take place at the stand as well as a chance to win one of three give-aways.

These are just a few of the many more new products, live demonstrations and innovation displays that will be at this year’s event.

Celebrating 50 years this year, Electra Mining Africa is Southern Africa’s biggest mining, electrical, automation, manufacturing, power and transport trade exhibition, and is a recognised platform for buyers and sellers to connect face-to-face, for industry networking, to build business partnerships and for new products, technologies, systems and services to be launched.

Electra Mining Africa and its line-up of conferences and free-to-attend seminars will take place from 5-9 September at the Expo Centre, Nasrec, in Johannesburg.
