Base metals miner Copper Mountain said on Monday that there had been no material impacts so far to its operations, production or concentrate shipments as a result of heavy rain, flooding and mudslides in British Columbia.

The mine continued to truck its concentrate to the Port of Vancouver and, while there had been temporary road closures, the company had not experienced any material impacts on shipments.

Several mining companies have been affected by the recent heavy rains in British Columbia, including Teck Resources, which on Monday lowered its guidance for its coking coal shipments and warned that some copper concentrate shipments were at risk.

Copper Mountain’s namesake mine is located in southern British Columbia, near the town of Princeton. The mine currently produces 100-million pounds a year of copper equivalent, with average yearly production expected to increase to 140-million pounds of copper equivalent.
