Boksburg, Gauteng-based Verni – Speciality Construction Products specialises in corrosion protection, performance flooring, refractory linings and construction chemicals.
The company, which aligns itself with international firms offering leading and proven technology, has an extensive range of products, manufactured in accordance with ISO 9001 standards and installed by in-house teams.
Founded by current MD Vernon Botha, Verni has experienced substantial growth over the last 13 years. The company is a considerable player in the following fields: acid proofing and corrosion protection of concrete and steel, epoxy and poly- urethane floor coatings, resin screeds, concrete repair and structural carbon fibre reinforcing, concrete waterproofing, crystal growth systems, bandaging systems and refractory linings.
As the supplier, installer and project manager, Verni offers a single-line guarantee with no split responsibilities. This also allows the company to keep prices competitive, as there are no double mark-ups between the supplier and subcontractor.
Verni, which boasts a three-star National Occupational Safety rating, has completed extensive projects in the mining, petrochemicals and power generation industries. While its home base is in South Africa, the company also undertakes projects throughout the rest of Africa and neighbouring islands.
The 130-employee company’s head office and factory is in Jet Park, Boksburg, and it has a Western Cape branch in Cape Town. Verni also has a registered entity in the Democratic Republic of Congo. Botha holds 64% of the shares in the company, his staff control 26% and Jenna-Lee Backo 10%.
Verni is strong on research and development and is continuously scouting for new products and technology lines to keep the company abreast of the times.
