Platinum miner Royal Bafokeng Platinum gives evidence that collaborative partnerships, rather than heavy-handed laws are needed in the South African industry, the Department of Mineral Resources is showing strong tendencies to resist companies that apply to shut mines or put them on care and maintenance and platinum producer Impala Platinum will drastically restructure the Rustenburg platinum mine.
