Machine industry company Bonfiglioli continues to leverage global best practices across its wide product range, while simultaneously tailoring its offering to local needs.

This approach, the power transmission industry leader says, has allowed Bonfiglioli South Africa to “capture a significant portion of the industrial gear reducer market, while still being agile enough to serve niche customers”.

Bonfiglioli has been represented within South Africa for more than three decades.

The company’s product range allows for the selection of drives between 13 Nm to well over 1 000 000 Nm, with highly flexible modular designs that allow for the easy adaption between Bonfiglioli’s drive ranges.

“This flexibility means that almost any specification can be configured, be it drive orientation, ratio or shaft interfaces. The possibilities with Bonfiglioli are virtually limitless,” the company enthuses.

Its strong sales teams is also located in all of the major centers within South Africa, where its Johannesburg headquarters boasts 10 assembly lines.

Bonfiglioli’s generous distributor network covers regions further afield, meaning that support for the company’s products can be relied upon throughout the sales process or when assistance is required during the life of the product.

In the event that the drive requires repair during the life of the unit, Bonfiglioli South Africa is capable of repairing units back to an “as-new” standard with its dedicated and experienced aftersales team.

The company’s desire to be the market leader in the power transmission industry is showcased by the continual development of their product lines to ensure the best value offering for customers and end-users, it reiterates to Engineering News & Mining Weekly, adding that “South Africa has led the way in many of these developments”.

Bonfiglioli South Africa continues to do so by investing in the new coaxial product range, which will be ready for local manufacturing to meet production volumes in 2023.
