The CEO of Bigen Group, Mr Anton Boshoff has submitted his resignation, effective 31 May 2019 to enable the business to fill the position of CEO with a Black Professional, through his own personal commitment to the economic transformation required for the Infrastructure industry. Anton will continue to pursue his calling for impacting the African Continent through business, conservation and missionary work.

Anton has been in the employ of Bigen for just over 28 years, where he served as Professional Engineer, Unit Manager, COO and CEO for the past 3 years. He has won a personal award for the Standard Bank Top Male Driving Gender Equality Award in 2018. Anton’s passion for transformation during his tenure as CEO lead to the Company’s first time ever Level 1 BBBEE contributor status during November 2018. It also exposed the Bigen Group to many competitive industry award competitions which saw the company winning nine awards such as the CESA AON Engineering Award for a Mentoring Company of the Year; and the Best Managed Company in the Consulting Engineers sector of the 2019 Top 500: South Africa’s Best Managed Companies listings, to name but a few.

Commenting on Anton Boshoff’s departure, the company’s current Executive Chairperson, Dr Snowy Khoza, said “It is difficult to bid farewell to Anton who has given so many years of his professional life to Bigen.  As a team, we transitioned Bigen from a consulting engineering company to an infrastructure development entity with the sole purpose of improving the quality of life of people on the African Continent. Anton is a compassionate and driven individual who has propelled the rebranding of Bigen in 2017 as we implemented our Bigen purpose of “doing good while doing business”. We wish Anton and his family God’s abundant blessings in the second season of his business and personal life endeavours.”

Bigen shareholders, board, executive management and staff have expressed their profound appreciation to Anton for his dedicated service over the years and wish him well in his new endeavours. “My heartfelt appreciation goes to the entire Bigen team for their unwavering support over the years, and I sincerely pray for their success in the future” responded Anton.

“The Bigen business and operations are continuing with their determined focus on furthering the approved Business strategy and plans. The process of finalising on a suitable replacement CEO with Anton’s support is also seamlessly underway”, further noted Dr Khoza.
