JOHANNESBURG (miningweekly.com) – The start-up of operations at the Moeijelijk chrome project, in North West, has contributed to higher interim earnings per share (EPS) and headline earnings per share (HEPS) for JSE-listed Bauba Platinum.

EPS and HEPS were both expected to be between 0.36c and 0.84c for the six months to December 31, a 115% to 135% improvement on the loss a share and headline loss a share of 2.4c reported for the six months to December 2014.

Bauba warned, however, that an amount of R15-million that was outstanding by one of its trade debtors had been included in the EPS and HEPS calculations and that there was uncertainty as to both the extent and date of recovery thereof, as the trade debtor was undergoing business rescue proceedings.
