$1.9bn NPV for Critical Elements’ Rose lithium project

TSX-V-listed Critical Elements Lithium has released a new feasibility study on the Rose lithium/tantalum project in the Eeyou-Istchee James Bay, Quebec.

The study incorporates a standard truck and shovel openpit mining operation and conventional lithium processing, producing an average of 173 317 t/y of chemical grade 5.5% spodumene concentrate, 51 369 t/y of technical grade 6% spodumene concentrate and 441 t/y tantalum concentrate.

The mine, which will require a capital investment of $357-million, will operate for 17 years.

The feasibility study delivered an aftertax net present value of $1.9-billion, at an 8% discount and an aftertax internal rate of return of 82.4%.
