Hydraulic hammers will be exhibited by the Rhino Earthmovers Group at this year’s Electra Mining Africa event.
The group has grown from humble beginnings from the formation of Paul Heslop Plant Services in the late 1980s. In 2008 it was granted the exclusive distribution agency for the range of DandA Hammers in sub-Saharan Africa and the group now specialises in the hire of hydraulic hammers with prime movers and the sale of new hammers.
Rhino Plant Hire specialises in the hire of hammers on prime movers sized from skid-steers to 44 t excavators and works with leading civil, mining, road and demolition contractors in Africa.
Rhino Excavator Hammers specialises in the sale of new hammers with full technical, servicing and parts support.
Rhino CEO Paul Heslop says the hydraulic hammers market is challenging and competitive.
“However, with competitive pricing, spare parts and full service backup Rhino is emerging as one of the leading players in the hammers market.”
Paul adds that DandA hammers are some of the best and most powerful in the world and incorporate all the key elements that make a great hammer, namely power, durability, reliability and ease of servicing and repair.
These are achieved by a simple high- quality design and material construction for easy servicing, an internal valve for efficient oil cooling, antiblanking firing systems for wear protection, large nitrogen- filled head chamber for increased power, accumulator to dampen pressure pulses and a silencing system for reduced noise pollution.
Rhino Excavator Hammers is also the sole agent for DandA’s range of crushers, pulverisers, shears and compactors in sub-Saharan Africa.
