Ritchie Bros. Auctioneers, the world’s largest industrial auctioneer, is gearing up for a large equipment auction which will be held at its site in St Aubin sur Gaillon, France, on March 3, 2015. The auction will feature a large selection of heavy equipment items from several equipment owners, including major French contractor Eiffage Travaux Publics. Ritchie Bros. will sell all items without minimum bids or reserve prices. Bids can be made in the auction live in person, online at rbauction.com and by proxy.

Some of the equipment highlights include:

  • 50+ articulated dumptrucks, including Volvo A40F and Caterpillar 740B
  • 20+ dozers, including Caterpillar D6N and D8T
  • 6 Caterpillar 14M motor graders
  • 4 Caterpillar 773G rocktrucks
  • And many more

People interested in seeing the equipment up close can visit the auction viewing day on March 2.

“Our March auction in St Aubin sur Gaillon is really picking up steam,” said Michel Schietequatte, Regional Sales Manager, Ritchie Bros. Auctioneers. “We’ve got a couple of big packages in the auction already attracting attention, including late-model Caterpillar and Volvo equipment from Eiffage Travaux Publics. Potential buyers are already contacting our auction site about the items.”

French contracting company Eiffage Travaux Publics (www.eiffagetravauxpublics.com) will sell more than 80 Volvo and Caterpillar equipment items in the auction.

"Our company is currently working on the High Speed railway track between Paris and Rennes, for which we acquired a large number of heavy equipment items,” said Xavier Barthelemy, Equipment Director at Eiffage Travaux Publics. “Now that the earthmoving works for this project are nearly completed, we decided to turn to Ritchie Bros. to sell a selection of hydraulic excavators, dump trucks, dozers, motor graders and other items to the highest bidders. Ritchie Bros. auctions are a reliable and highly efficient method to sell to buyers from all over the world. It’s a powerful fleet management tool for a company like Eiffage Travaux Publics."
