In view of continuous improvement of its products, hydraulic and industrial products supplier Alfagomma has introduced a new range of high-pressure hydraulic spiral hose, the Alfabiotech Evolution, and its Dunlop Hiflex equivalent Powerflexbio Extra, as well as the new Interlock fitting H17 range.

Alfabiotech Evolution is specially designed for top performance and compatibility with biodegradable hydraulic oils and is suitable for applications using conventional hydraulic oils, lubricants, antifreeze solutions, air and water.

Alfabiotech Evolution features unprecedented bend radius – up to 60% improvement on ISO 18752 and SAE 100 requirements.

The compact and extremely flexible construction will allow effortless flexing in operation and during installation.

It is also specially designed for long service life in very demanding hydraulic applications where a compact design and high pulsating pressures and tight bend radius are required.

The Alfagomma Minetuff cover is specially designed for heavy-duty mining, forestry, construction, and oil and gas applications where MSHA fire resistance, long service life and state-of-the-art performance is fundamental.

Alfabiotech Evolution exceeds the 1 000 000 impulse tests according to ISO 18752.

Interlock Fittings

The new fittings range is a skive solution for very high pressure wire spiral hose.

The new range has fittings available from 5/8 inch to 2 inch sizes.

The fittings have working pressures of up to 6000 psi, or 415 bar.

Main applications include mining and construction equipment, forestry and agricultural machines and oil and gas platforms.

The fittings provide maximum integrity in heavy-duty applications, and the Alfabiotech Evolution hose has an extreme bend radius in combination with the previous generation Alfabiotech hose range.

The products will be available starting from the fourth quarter of this year.

The new hose ranges will replace the current Alfabiotech and Powerflexbio ones, and the new Interlock fitting H17 range will replace the current Interlock fitting H14 range.

The fittings are manufactured to ISO 18752 type and grade CC, are designed for top performance and the Alfabiotech Evolution hose has compatibility with biohydraulic oils.

The Alfabiotech Evolution hose types are compact while the extremely flexible design provides easier and tighter bending.

Increased flexibility allows for ease of installation with the Alfabiotech Evolution hose also having high abrasion and fire resistance.

The interchangeability of the new fittings is guaranteed in order to facilitate the phase-in of the new range and the phase-out of the current one.

The current Interlock H14 fitting range will be suitable for the new Alfabiotech Evolution/Powerflexbio Extra and the new Interlock H17 fitting range will be suitable with current Alfabiotech and Powerflexbio.

For rated performance of the interlock fitting, it is necessary to use insert and ferrule of the same range.

The H17 insert range is only suitable with the H17 ferrule range; and the H14 insert range is only suitable with the H14 ferrule range.
