Macquarie

Macquarie is an Australian diversified financial services group providing banking, financial, advisory, investment and funds management services. The company is headquartered in Sydney and operates in more than 30 countries across Australia, the Americas, Europe, the Middle East, Africa and Asia. Macquarie Group Limited is listed on the Australian Securities Exchange and is a constituent of the S&X/ASX 50 index. The group's activities span asset management, retail and business banking, commodities and global markets, corporate advisory and capital markets. Macquarie is particularly prominent in infrastructure and energy investment, commodities trading and metals and mining finance. Its commodities and global markets division is a significant player in physical commodity trading, including base and precious metals, and provides market-making, financing and risk management services to mining companies and industrial consumers. Macquarie's metals group offers price forecasting, market analysis and structured finance for copper, aluminium, nickel and other industrial metals that are critical to the energy transition and electrification. The company has a strong presence in project finance for renewable energy, data infrastructure and electric vehicle supply chains. Macquarie was founded in 1969 as the Hill Samuel Australia Limited merchant bank and adopted its current name in 1985.
