Water treatment plant operated by local manufacturer’s pump range

Process technology company, Atomaer, has contracted pump manufacturer, Verder Pumps South Africa (VPSA), to supply the pumps at the acid mine water treatment pilot plant in Randfontein, VPSA marketing manager Kasha Wos reports.

Mining companies Anglo Coal and BHP Billiton Energy Coal South Africa (BECSA) last week signed a landmark agreement with the Emalahleni local municipality for the supply of water from a newly built water treatment plant.
