Denison Mines

Denison Mines is a Canadian uranium exploration and development company focused on projects in the Athabasca Basin region of Saskatchewan. The company is headquartered in Toronto, Ontario, and is publicly listed on the Toronto Stock Exchange and NYSE American. Denison's core asset is the Wheeler River uranium project, one of the largest undeveloped uranium deposits in the infrastructure-rich eastern portion of the Athabasca Basin. The company also holds interests in several other uranium properties and provides mine decommissioning and environmental services through its closed operations. Denison is advancing in-situ recovery mining technology for uranium extraction, a method that offers potential cost and environmental advantages over conventional mining. The company's strategic focus is on developing Wheeler River through the regulatory approval process, including engagement with the Canadian Nuclear Safety Commission. Denison Mines positions itself as a key player in Canada's uranium sector, which supplies fuel for nuclear power generation globally. The company was originally founded in the 1950s and has a long history in Canadian uranium mining, having operated several mines over the decades before transitioning to its current development and environmental services focus.
