Caledonia Mining

Caledonia Mining is a gold producer operating primarily in Zimbabwe. The company is headquartered in Jersey, Channel Islands, and maintains a primary listing on the New York Stock Exchange under the ticker symbol CMCL, with a secondary listing on the AIM market of the London Stock Exchange. Caledonia's principal asset is the Blanket Mine, a high-grade underground gold mine located in the south-west of Zimbabwe, which has been in operation for over a century and represents the company's core revenue generator. The company also holds exploration and development interests in other Zimbabwean gold projects, including the Bilboes gold and sulphide project and the Motapa gold project, both of which are at earlier stages of development. Caledonia has focused on expanding production at Blanket Mine through ongoing capital investment in infrastructure, including shaft deepening and the installation of a central shaft to access deeper, higher-grade ore zones. The company produces several thousand ounces of gold annually, with production levels steadily increasing as expansion projects come online. Caledonia employs several hundred people across its operations in Zimbabwe. The company was founded in the 1980s and has evolved from a diversified explorer into a focused gold producer with a strong operational presence in southern Africa.
