Air Liquide

Air Liquide is a French multinational company that supplies industrial gases and services to various industries worldwide. Headquartered in Paris, the company operates in more than 80 countries across five continents, serving over 3.8 million customers and patients. Air Liquide is listed on the Euronext Paris stock exchange and is a constituent of the CAC 40 index. The company's core business includes the production and distribution of gases such as oxygen, nitrogen, hydrogen and argon for use in sectors including healthcare, electronics, chemicals, food and beverage, metals and energy. Air Liquide has positioned itself as a major player in the energy transition, particularly in the development of hydrogen infrastructure and low-carbon hydrogen production, including both green hydrogen produced from renewable energy and blue hydrogen produced with carbon capture and storage. The company operates a network of hydrogen production facilities, pipelines and refuelling stations, and has entered into partnerships with energy majors and industrial customers to develop large-scale hydrogen projects. Air Liquide also provides engineering and construction services for industrial gas facilities and cryogenic equipment. The company employs approximately 67 000 people globally and generates annual revenue exceeding €29-billion. Air Liquide was founded in 1902 by Georges Claude, who pioneered the industrial production of liquefied air, and has since grown through organic expansion and strategic acquisitions to become one of the world's largest suppliers of industrial gases.
