Rio Tinto announces new chief

The second-biggest mining company in the world, Rio Tinto, announced on Tuesday that group resources director Tom Albanese would succeed Leigh Clifford as the group's CE on May 1. Albanese joined Rio Tinto when the firm acquired coal, oil, and natural-gas producer Nerco in 1993.
