JOHANNESBURG (miningweekly.com) – The $33-billion merger between Glencore and Xstrata is now expected to be finalised only by April 16.
The parties had previously extended the deadline for the deal to March 15. The merger had initially been expected to be completed by the end of last year.
The completion of the merger remained conditional upon the receipt of the outstanding regulatory approval in China.
