An employee at Harmony Gold's Tshepong mine, in Welkom, has died in a fall-of-ground incident on Thursday.
An investigation into the incident is under way.
"Management express their deepest condolences to the deceased employee’s family, friends and colleagues," Harmony said in a statement.
