Australian lithium developer Wildcat Resources on Monday announced “exceptional” results from its Tabba Tabba lithium project, near Port Hedland, Pilbara.

The latest assay results from the Leia pegmatite include 180 m at 1.1% lithium oxide from 206 m in TARC148, which Wildcat said was confirming that it was uncovering a Tier 1 lithium deposit at Tabba Tabba.

“The thick and high-grade assay results consistently being returned from Leia convince us that Tabba Tabba is host to a very significant lithium deposit. The project’s setting on mining leases and its proximity to infrastructure in the centre of the most prolific hard rock lithium district in the world, truly cements it among the best lithium development opportunities today,” commented MD Samuel Ekins.

Tabba Tabba is near some of the world’s biggest hard-rock lithium mines, it is 47 km from Pilbara Minerals’ 414-million-tonne Pilgangoora project, 87 km from Mineral Resources’ 259-million-tonne Wodgina project and is only 80 km by road to Port Hedland.
