Veyance Technologies is a global leader in rubber-compound technology and manufactures a superior range of conveyor belts, industrial hose and power transmission products for the industrial and mining industries.
With its headquarters in Fairlawn, in the US state of Ohio, Veyance Technologies has a global reputation for its conveyor belting expertise and its advanced research and development facilities.

Veyance Technologies is one of the only companies able to supply high-tech and high-spec belts, which are increasingly required in the mining sector as mining projects grow more and more demanding in their requirements. The company also offers a comprehensive range of conveyor belt services to minimise customer downtime. Services include belt surveys, condition monitoring systems on-site splicing and on-site training.

Locally, Veyance Technologies is represented by its African and South African branch, with its head office and 24 014 m2 manufacturing facility situated in Uitenhage, in the Eastern Cape, where production first began in October 1947. The factory recently produced its two-millionth metre of steel cord conveyor. The company, which employs 300 people in South Africa, also has a sales and marketing office in Johannesburg, Gauteng.

Veyance Technologies was awarded Sasol Coal’s original equipment project, Impumulelo, where it supplied the world’s longest single flight steel cord conveyor.

Veyance Technologies is a Level 3 broad-based black economic- empowerment company and boasts ISO9001:2000, ISO14001 and OSHAS 18001 ratings.
