VANADIUM BULLS COME OUT TO PLAY

A sudden flurry in the vanadium space has seen London-Aim-listed Bushveld Minerals step on the gas to bring its low-cost integrated vanadium mining and processing project into the spotlight on the northern limb of South Africa’s mineral-rich Bushveld Complex, in Limpopo. TSX-listed Largo Resources has produced its first vanadium at the new Maracas project, in Brazil, and ASX-listed Yellow Rock Resources has raised $3.36-million to fund work on the Gabanintha vanadium project, in Western Australia. This follows a Chinese directive that vanadium be used in rebar, the search by the world to find a warehouse to store electricity and the automotive industry looking more to a combination of vanadium and lithium in batteries for electric cars.
