JOHANNESBURG (miningweekly.com) – ASX-listed Triton Minerals on Wednesday said drilling had started at its Nicanda Hill prospect, in Mozambique.

The third-phase reverse circulation and diamond-drilling programme, on the southern portion of the Nicanda Hill prospect in the Balama North project, followed encouraging results from rock chip sampling.

The subsequent limited diamond drill programme in November had intersected multiple zones containing high-grade graphitic material over significant widths.

Results included 14.7 m at 18.7% graphite, 40 m at 14.2% graphite, 12.3 m at 12.3% graphite and 15.5 m at 11.2% graphite.
