PERTH (miningweekly.com) – Copper cathode producer Tiger Resources has appointed Brad Sampson CEO and MD.

Sampson has more than 25 years in the resources industry across numerous locations, including West and Southern Africa, and has held leadership roles covering the entire cycle of exploration, development, construction, operation and closure.

“The Tiger board is very pleased with this appointment and the leadership capability Sampson brings to the company,” said chairperson Mark Connelly.

“His African experience, mining production background and leadership roles including responsibility for change management, make him an excellent CEO for Tiger as it consolidates the Kipoi mining operation performance in continuing challenging circumstances.”

Meanwhile, outgoing MD and CEO Michael Griffiths will remain on the board as nonexecutive director, to facilitate a smooth transition in management.
