JOHANNESBURG (miningweekly.com) – Craig Thomas has stepped into the role of CEO of Namibia-focused copper miner Weatherly International, following the retirement of Rod Webster.
Webster would continue to serve as a director of the company.
"This is an exciting time for Weatherly. We have a new management team focused on ramping Tschudi production to a rate of 17 000 t/y before the end of this calendar year.
"As the company moves forward, we will build on Tschudi as a foundation and maximise shareholder value from the rest of our portfolio,” commented Thomas.
Meanwhile, Krzysztof Szymczak and Raymond Jenner were also appointed to Weatherly’s board.
