JOHANNEBSURG (miningweekly.com) – JSE-listed Sable Metals and Mining on Monday said it had submitted an application to the Department of Mineral Resources (DMR) seeking an amendment to its prospecting right.
Sable subsidiary Gemsbok Magnetite aimed to undertake bulk sampling at its Doornpoort property to remove and dispose of iron-ore, vanadium and magnetite during the fourth quarter of 2014.
“Once this permit is granted by the DMR, samples will be sent for metallurgical testing and analysis as a precursor to the conclusion of a suitable marketing arrangement with an identified buyer,” the company said in a statement.
