PERTH (miningweekly.com) – ASX-listed Ramelius Resources has reported record gold production during the three months to March, driven by record output from its Mt Magnet project, in Western Australia.

During the three months under review, Ramelius reported group production of 27 653 oz, at a cash cost of A$1 213/oz.

The miner said on Thursday that the Mt Magnet operation had delivered a record output of 19 767 oz of fine gold during the quarter, as the mine returned to full production following the reinstallation of a ball mill motor.

Mill production at Mt Magnet also reached record highs as ore from the Western Queen South deposit was added to the process flow. The mill processed 372 133 t of ore, at a head grade of 1.81 g/t gold, the highest achieved to date.

The Coogee pit, which was completed in February this year, produced about 147 400 t of ore, which was processed through the Burbanks mill. During the quarter under review, the project delivered 7 365 oz of fine gold, at a total cash cost of A$636/oz.

For the three months to June, the Burbanks mill was expected to produce some 6 000 oz of gold as stockpiled ore from the Coogee operation was treated, while the Mt Magnet operation would produce between 19 000 oz and 20 000 oz.
