JOHANNESBURG (miningweekly.com) – Higher realised revenue basket prices and sustained production were expected to push Royal Bafokeng Platinum’s (RBPlat’s) half-year earnings higher.
The group on Tuesday said its earnings per share (EPS) and headline earnings per share (HEPS) for the six months ended June were expected to be between 106c and 121c, a jump on the EPS and HEPS of 87c reported during the prior corresponding period.
Normalised EPS for the half-year would likely be between 122c and 139c, compared with the 111c achieved during the first half of the previous year, after adjusting for an additional after-tax effect of amortisation and a depreciation charge related to a fair value adjustment.
RBPlat planned to release its interim results on August 5.
