Ramelius hits production targets

PERTH (miningweekly.com) – Gold miner Ramelius Resources has achieved its production target for the three months ended September, with the miner producing 22 336 oz of gold during the period.

This was compared with the June guidance of between 21 000 oz and 23 000 oz.

The Mt Magnet operation, in Western Australia, produced 18 376 oz during the quarter, while the Coogee/Burbanks mine, also in Western Australia, delivered 3 960 oz of gold.

Ramelius was hoping to increase its production to 130 000 oz/y by 2016, with the incorporation of the Vivien gold project, in Western Australia, and the Kathleen Valley tenements.

For the 2015 financial year, Ramelius was expected to produce about 78 000 oz of gold.
